Marrying My Best Friend
How did you meet each other?
We met while both serving in the military. During a training assignment, we instantly connected and became inseparable—wherever one of us was, the other was never far behind!
We attempted a relationship early on but soon realized the timing wasn’t right. Instead, we promised to always remain close friends and support each other.
When did you know the other was the one?We both felt the connection from the start, but it became undeniable when training ended, and we returned to our separate lives. Those days apart were tough—we spent hours on the phone daily, often putting the other on hold just to handle necessary tasks, and always returning to find the other still waiting.
Although our initial relationship didn’t work due to long distance, our friendship remained strong. Life eventually brought us back together when I (June) was stationed in the same area. It became clear that fate had aligned our paths for a reason, and we rekindled our romantic connection.
Tell us about the proposal.I (June) planned a surprise 40th birthday trip for Tiffany. She knew how much vacation time to request but had no idea about the destination. I secretly gathered her friends and family to join us.
On the day of departure, we visited her sister’s house for breakfast and mimosas. Tiffany thought her loved ones were there to see her off—but when the limo arrived, everyone grabbed their bags and revealed they were coming too. Tiffany was overwhelmed with joy!
We traveled to Cabo, where we stayed in a luxurious villa with a private chef, maid service, and endless amenities. We enjoyed pool parties, ATV rides, massages, and more. On a private yacht cruise, I proposed during a heartfelt affirmation circle where friends shared their love and admiration for Tiffany. I told her I’d waited 10 years for this moment, and she said yes!
What was the inspiration behind the vibe of your wedding?We wanted our wedding to feel upscale yet comfortable, incorporating unique colors and designs. It was important to us to support small businesses owned by family and friends, trusting them to bring our vision to life. Their personal touches exceeded our expectations!
How did you both select who would attend the wedding?Energy was everything. We invited people who truly supported us and understood the significance of our journey. Although we could have easily had over 300 guests, we kept the list intimate, ensuring everyone present played a meaningful role in our lives.
Tell us about your wedding day.Our wedding day was filled with love and positive energy! Hosting it at home made the day even more special, allowing us to celebrate in our own space and on our terms. The decorations were stunning, and everyone worked together to make it unforgettable. Our photographer, Kevin Wright, flew in from Jamaica to capture the essence of the day. As the World's Richest Photographer, Kevin and his team blessed us with breathtaking images that will immortalize our love for a lifetime.
What are some of your favorite moments as a couple over the years?Traveling together has been a highlight, as has experiencing new things for the first time. We’ve introduced each other to different cultures and adventures, growing together in ways that strengthen our bond. Our 11 years of shared memories are too vast to count, but we cherish each one deeply.
Lastly, is there anything else you’d like to share?We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who contributed to our wedding day. Their love and support made the celebration truly unforgettable.
